Job summary

Prospero Teaching in Bolton invites dedicated tutors to join their team as a GCSE tutor, working with vulnerable, disengaged and at-risk young people. You will create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3 or KS4 and boost engagement and attainment.

The role emphasises flexible hours with contract type: Temporary, part-time, start ASAP and ongoing. Experience with SEND or disengaged pupils is valued; DBS clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience.
• UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential.
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box.
• Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils.

Responsibilities

Experience, Training and Qualifications of the English, Maths and Science Tutor:

• QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience


• Possess UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential


• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box


• Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils

To be eligible for this role, the potential Tutor must:

• Hold the right to work in the UK


• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application


• Provide two professional child-related references.
