Job description

One-to-One SEN Teacher - Focused Support, Real Results

Location: Grimsby and surrounding areas

Pay Rate: £30-£35 per hour (PAYE, case dependent)

Working Days: Monday to Friday (Term-Time Only)

Hours: 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM (flexible working available)

Specialism: Individualised teaching for students with SEN, SEMH, SEMD, and medical needs

About The Role

Are you a qualified teacher looking to step away from the traditional classroom and into a role where your impact is immediate and personal? We're seeking SEN Teachers to work one-to-one with students who require a bespoke approach to learning. You'll be supporting learners with a range of additional needs—helping them build confidence, develop essential skills, and re-engage with education in a meaningful way.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Deliver tailored lessons in core subjects, adapted to each student's learning style and pace
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students and their families
  • Create a calm, structured environment that supports both academic and emotional development
  • Encourage independence, resilience, and a positive attitude toward learning
  • Promote inclusive values and model positive behaviour
What We're Looking For
  • QTS or equivalent (PGCE)
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience
  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths, English, and Science (UK curriculum)
  • Experience across Key Stages 1-4
  • A background in supporting students with SEN, SEMH, or complex needs
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection
