Job summary

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking a kind, inclusive Teaching Assistant at Roos C E (V C) Primary School on a fixed-term, term-time basis. The role is 13 hours per week (Thursday and Friday) with 8:45am–12:00pm and 12:30pm–3:45pm shifts, starting December 2026 (or earlier).

The post supports a designated pupil in-class and may involve working with small groups, under the Headteacher’s direction. Applicants must be fluent in English and committed to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Provide one-to-one support in the classroom to a designated pupil.
• Support individuals or small groups of pupils of varying abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the classroom under the Headteacher’s direction.
• Support designated pupil and/or small groups across curriculum areas.
• Attend to safeguarding obligations and DBS requirements.
