About the role

-1:1 Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Teaching Assistant required, Mon to Fri 830-1530

-ASAP start until the end of summer term 2025

-Covering long term absence

-Pay rate starts at £89.38, can be increased depending on qualifications / experience

-You will be required to support a pupil on an individual basis who has a diagnosis of Autism and suspected ADHE. The child is male, and in year 2 at present

-One form entry Primary School located near Pontprennau, Cardiff

-Good transport links by bus, train and access to free parking

-Headteacher has established vision of guiding the school to good standards

-Ensures they provide a positive and inclusive environment for learning for all

-Behaviour standards are good amongst pupils

About you

-Previous experience of working with children with ALN would be preferred but not essential. This pupil requires a calm, patient and understanding Teaching Assistant who will work with him closely by engaging with his interests to get the most of his potential

-You will be required to hold either a Teaching Assistant qualification or have experience in working with children that we can reference

-Team Teach qualification preferred, not essential

-You will also need to be fully registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)

-To be put forward for this role, you would need to undergo a 30-minute face to face registration with Teaching Personnel which would include reference and DBS checks
