Job Description:

Tradewind Education has a fantastic opportunity for a caring and supportive individual to join a thriving primary school in WA2 as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant.

This child is based in KS1 and is diagnosed with Autism and ADHD. The student is very bright, but needs encouragement to do his work.

The successful candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of behaviour management.

The school is Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' and offers a supportive and inclusive environment for all children. This is a full-time, long-term position commencing from 04/09/2024.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the child with their personal, social and academic needs
• Encouraging and assisting the child with their learning and development
• Communicating effectively with the student's teachers and parents
• Providing emotional support to the child and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Adapting learning materials and activities to meet the child's individual needs
• Assisting with therapy sessions and carrying out any related tasks
• Ensuring the child's safety and wellbeing at all times
• An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS, or a willingness to obtain a new one (full refund after 20 days worked)
• Recent, professional references
• The legal right to work in the UK
• Experience working with children or young adults with additional needs
