One-to-One Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate One-to-One Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional learning needs in a welcoming and inclusive school in Grimsby. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s educational journey, providing tailored support to help them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide one-to-one support to a pupil with specific learning needs.
2. Assist with classroom activities, adapting materials and tasks to meet the child's needs.
3. Implement individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO.
4. Foster a positive and supportive learning environment, promoting confidence and independence.
5. Monitor and record the pupil’s progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents where necessary.
6. Support the child’s social and emotional development, encouraging positive behaviour and engagement.

Requirements:

1. Experience working with children in an educational setting.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Minimum GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
4. A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
