Job summary

KDC North West is seeking a caring and reliable Support Worker to provide one-to-one support to an 8-year-old girl with autism, epilepsy, cerebral palsy and other needs. You will help her access community activities, play and develop independence while keeping her safe.

Specialist epilepsy training and Buccolam administration will be provided, with competency assessment. The role requires completion of pre-employment checks including DBS clearance and right to work.

Qualifications

• One-to-one support for a child with complex needs.
• Specialist epilepsy management training provided and competency assessed.
• Pre-employment checks including identity, right to work, references and Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, person-centred one-to-one support.
• Support participation in community, leisure and recreational activities.
• Encourage communication, independence and social interaction.
• Follow established routines and provide reassurance during periods of anxiety or change.
• Work closely with family and follow care plans.
• Maintain the child's safety and wellbeing, including epilepsy procedures.
