Job summary

Coley Primary School is seeking a dedicated one-to-one SEND Learning Support Assistant on a fixed-term contract running until 31 August 2027, during term time. The role supports one pupil with additional needs, enabling access to learning and fostering belonging and confidence throughout the school day.

You will work alongside the class teacher and SENCO, applying the school's relational and therapeutic approach to emotional wellbeing and personal development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Enhanced DBS check is required.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Satisfactory references.
• Safer recruitment checks completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support for a pupil with additional needs throughout the school day.
• Help the pupil access learning.
• Build the pupil's confidence, positive relationships and sense of belonging.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO.
