Job summary

Supply Hive Wales is seeking steady, caring people to work one-to-one with secondary students with special educational needs in schools across Barry and the Vale of Glamorgan.

If you're the kind of person a young person can rely on when the day feels a bit much, we'd love to hear from you. Experience with young people with SEN or ALN in school, care, youth work or family life is valued. DBS enhanced preferred; safeguarding training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with young people with SEN or ALN in school, care, youth work, or family life.
• Calm, patient and consistent communicator.
• No TA qualification needed; we'll chat about your experience and suitability before you register.

Responsibilities

• Support one student through their school day, in lessons and at unstructured times.
• Help manage transitions between lessons and settle into learning.
• Work with teachers to adapt tasks and resources to suit their needs.
• Build trust, encourage independence and celebrate progress.
