Vale of Glamorgan Council is recruiting Learning Support Assistants for Ysgol Y Deri, Penarth/Barry Campus. The role focuses on supporting pupils with ALN and SEMH, both in groups and 1:1 sessions, to help them engage and thrive.

The successful candidate will need an enhanced and barred DBS for children and adults and be registered with EWC; full-time, term-time hours, permanent appointment, salary the pro rata scale.

Qualificações

• Experience working with children in educational settings is desirable.
• Understanding of ALN and SEMH needs is advantageous.
• Ability to adapt activities for a variety of Curriculum areas.

Responsabilidades

• Support pupils in groups and 1:1 academic lessons across the curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment with high expectations.
• Assist teachers with planning, preparation and activities as needed.
• Contribute to pupil engagement and wellbeing during lessons.
