Job summary

Supply Hive Wales is seeking caring individuals to work one-to-one with secondary students with SEN across Barry and the Vale of Glamorgan. You will support students during lessons and at unstructured times, helping them transition between activities and settle into learning.

No TA qualification is required; we’ll discuss your experience and fit before you register. Enhanced DBS is ideal, and safeguarding training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with young people with SEN or ALN in school, care, youth work or family life.
• Calm, consistent and understanding approach, even on tougher days.

Supply Hive Wales is looking for steady, caring people to work one-to-one with secondary students with special educational needs in schools across Barry and the Vale of Glamorgan. If you're the kind of person a young person can rely on when the day feels a bit much, we'd love to hear from you.

The role

• Supporting one student through their school day, in lessons and at unstructured times
• Helping them manage transitions between lessons and settle into learning
• Working with teachers to adapt tasks and resources to suit their needs
• Building trust, encouraging independence and celebrating progress

About you

• Experience with young people with SEN or ALN – in school, care, youth work or family life
• No TA qualification needed – we'll chat through your experience and suitability before you register
• Calm, consistent and understanding, even on the tougher days
• Enhanced DBS, ideally on the Update Service
