Job summary

Larchwood Primary School in Pilgrim's Hatch, Brentwood, is seeking a Learning Support Assistant (Primary) to work one-to-one with a child with special needs. The role is full-time, term-time only (38 weeks + 1 INSET Day), Monday–Friday 8.30am–3.15pm.

You will join a friendly team of LSAs, supporting attainment and wellbeing aligned with school values of Fairness, Friendship, Honesty, Perseverance, Respect and Responsibility.

Qualifications

• Good standard of maths and English, both written and spoken (GCSE grade C or above).
• Creative ideas for activities and planning to support learning.
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills with high expectations of achievement.
• Experience of working with pupils with SEN preferable.

Responsibilities

• Work one-to-one with a child with SEN to support learning.
• Assist with planning and delivering activities to meet individual needs.
• Support inclusion, behaviour management and well-being in the classroom.
