Qualifications

• Patient, calm, reliable and proactive.
• Experience in learning support, mentoring, youth work or working with young people with additional needs would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, one-to-one support to help the student remain focused and engaged in lessons.
• Encourage participation in learning and support progress towards agreed targets.
• Promote positive behaviour, self-regulation and increasing independence.
• Maintain a safe, supportive and structured learning environment.
• Follow college safeguarding procedures and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and relevant support colleagues to ensure a consistent approach.
• Monitor engagement and progress, sharing concerns and updates with the appropriate staff.
