The Harborne Hospital in Birmingham is seeking a Ward Manager to lead the Oncology Ward with visible clinical and operational guidance. You will support the nursing team, drive quality and governance, and work with multidisciplinary colleagues to maintain exceptional patient care across the cancer pathway.

Formación

• Experience in a senior nursing leadership role within an oncology setting.
• Strong knowledge of systemic anti‑cancer therapies, oncology pathways and medicines management.
• A proven ability to lead, motivate and develop high‑performing teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage the Oncology Ward, ensuring delivery of outstanding patient care and clinical excellence.
• Support and develop nursing colleagues through coaching, appraisal, education and mentorship.
• Drive quality improvement, clinical governance and patient safety initiatives across the service.
• Lead recruitment, workforce planning and resource management to support service delivery.
• Collaborate with the wider oncology team, including the Chemotherapy Day Unit and cancer services.
• Provide visible leadership across inpatient oncology, shaping and developing services.
