Job summary

The Harborne Hospital in Birmingham is seeking a Ward Manager to lead the Oncology Ward, delivering safe, patient-centered cancer care. You will provide clinical and operational leadership to the nursing team and work with multidisciplinary colleagues to maintain excellent standards.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration as an Adult Nurse.
• Experience in a senior nursing leadership role within oncology.
• Strong knowledge of systemic anti-cancer therapies and oncology pathways.
• Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Oncology Ward delivering outstanding patient care and clinical excellence.
• Provide coaching, appraisal, education and mentorship to nursing staff.
• Drive quality improvement, governance and patient safety across the service.
• Lead recruitment, workforce planning and resource management for service delivery.
• Collaborate with the wider oncology team including Haematology pathways where required.
