Job summary

Spire Dunedin Hospital in Reading is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide expert oncology and haematology care within a dedicated Cancer Services team. You’ll work with Consultants and MDT colleagues to support patients at every stage of their treatment pathway.

As the CNS, you’ll manage a specialist caseload, administer SACT safely, conduct pre-treatment assessments, develop personalised care plans and coordinate discharge with other providers.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within Oncology or Cancer Services
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a specialist caseload
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

• Manage a specialist clinical caseload
• Safely administer Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT)
• Conduct pre-treatment assessments and consultations
• Provide specialist advice and support to patients and their families
• Complete Holistic Needs Assessments and develop personalised care plans
• Work collaboratively with Consultants, CNS colleagues and multidisciplinary teams
• Coordinate ongoing care and discharge planning with internal and external healthcare providers
• Maintain accurate and concise clinical documentation
• Support colleagues within the Cancer Services team through professional guidance and expertise
• Promote evidence-based practice and continuous service improvement
