Job summary
Icon UK Limited is recruiting a Senior Oncology Nurse in Reading to lead shifts, provide advanced SACT nursing care and deputise for clinical leaders. You will guide junior colleagues, coordinate care and support safe, patient-centred cancer services in a fast-paced environment.
This role requires an SACT qualified nurse with strong communication and governance focus, with experience in specialist or acute cancer care, and a commitment to education, mentoring staff and continuous service
Qualifications
- Registered nurse with SACT qualification and current professional registration.
- Experience in specialist or acute cancer care settings.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced, evidence-based, patient-centred SACT nursing care with assessment, care coordination and symptom management.
- Lead shifts, supervise junior staff, deputise for clinical leaders and deliver professional guidance and mentoring.
- Contribute to quality improvement, clinical governance, and service development with a focus on safety and patient outcomes.
- Develop specialist expertise in radiation oncology and support patients receiving radiation therapy.
