Job summary

Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking an experienced cancer nurse to join their non-medical Oncology Team at Prince Philip Hospital. This role primarily focuses on supporting breast cancer patients requiring systemic anti-cancer therapy and offers the opportunity for agile working arrangements. Successful candidates will have support for non-medical prescribing qualifications and will need strong experience in managing cancer treatments and patient interactions.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cancer nurse, particularly with breast cancer patients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Welsh language skills are desirable.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced cancer nurse to join the non-medical Oncology Team at Hywel Dda University Health Board.

Based at Prince Philip Hospital, the successful post holder will primarily support people with a diagnosis of breast cancer who require systemic anti cancer therapy. There will be an occasionally need to support patients being treated for other types of cancer.

This post will be based at Prince Philip but agile working will be supported.

You will be an integral part of the Breast Oncology clinic and will support patients through contact in clinic alongside the medical team, nurse led clinics and through follow up outside of clinic times.

If you are not already an independent non medical prescriber, you will be supported to complete this qualification within your first year in post. You will be experienced in managing toxicities of systemic anticancer treatment.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post: English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
