Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a dedicated Oncology Unit Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients receiving cancer treatments and supportive care. You will work within a busy department, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure tailored, compassionate care and effective communication.

We value CPD and a strong nursing foundation; leadership and ward management development will be supported by the department, with supervision from the Senior Charge Nurse in Oncology.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with UK NMC Part 1 (RN1) or Part 2 (RN2).
• Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) is essential.
• Degree-level education is desirable; further study to complete SACT administration will be expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatments.
• Deliver tailored care with an exceptional multidisciplinary team.
• Develop leadership and ward management skills in support of the oncology department.
• Report to the Senior Charge Nurse in Oncology.
