Job summary

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an organised, enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant to join our Oncology and Haematology pharmacy service and support aseptic product supply across the Trust. The role suits candidates with previous pharmacy experience; training will be provided for chemotherapy medicines.

The Pharmacy Department has completed a Transformation Programme, including an EPMA system, automated dispensing and e-Rostering, to support an efficient working environment.

Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy experience is required or desirable.
• Experience with dispensing or handling chemotherapy medicines is advantageous; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a range of pharmacy assistant duties.
• Provide organisational and administrative support to the Pharmacy Aseptic Supply Unit (ASU).
• Participate in the dispensary rota, including late evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Support delivery of a safe, high-quality pharmacy service across the Trust.
