Job summary

Harding is seeking an experienced Mandarin-speaking Retail Manager to lead onboard retail teams and drive sales performance on our cruise ships.

You will inspire a luxury guest experience, deliver training, manage client outreach for events, and ensure high standards in shop floor and back office operations. This contract role on board for up to 6 months at a time offers accommodation and meals, visas and seafaring documents, and central office support.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Retail Manager or Assistant Manager, ideally at sea.
• Fluent in Mandarin with confident guest and colleague communication.
• Able to lead a team to achieve and exceed sales targets in high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to create an exceptional onboard retail experience for guests.
• Inspire the team to deliver service excellence while meeting sales and profit targets.
• Set an example as a role model and contribute to a positive work culture.
• Identify and deliver training requirements within the team.
• Take ownership of client outreach for events such as private sales and product knowledge sessions.
• Ensure high standards on shop floor and in back-office operations.
