Job summary

Babcock requires a Workshop Supervisor to lead an operational team at Ashchurch, Gloucestershire, ensuring production targets are met safely and efficiently. You will manage recruitment, performance, welfare and workforce planning while maintaining safety, quality, and process standards.

The role focuses on coordinating people and resources, overseeing equipment and tooling, and driving improvements with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising teams in production/manufacturing/engineering environments.
• Ability to coordinate people, resources and daily operations.
• Experience in safety-focused, process-driven settings.
• Strong communication and team leadership skills.
• Level 2 NQF or equivalent and Level 3 vocational qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop an operational team to deliver production plans safely and efficiently.
• Manage recruitment, performance, capability, welfare and workforce planning.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality and operational processes.
• Oversee production systems, equipment, tooling and resource availability to minimise operational risks.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain accurate operational reporting and planning.
