Job summary

Dovetail and Slate is recruiting a Warehousing Tutor to join the Adult Skills team on-site at HMP Humber. You will deliver classroom-based training to help learners achieve the Level 2 Certificate in Warehousing and Storage, supporting progression into post-release employment.

The role offers a permanent, full-time contract (34 hours per week) with early Friday finishes, a strong focus on safeguarding and security, and opportunities to develop practical warehousing skills, employability

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Qualification and a recognized Assessing Qualification.
• Level 3 (or above) sector-specific warehousing/logistics qualifications.
• Substantial hands-on occupational experience within the warehousing, logistics, or supply chain sector.
• Strong group facilitation and administrative capability.
• Ability to adapt to prison timetabling limitations and routines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging classroom-based training for Level 2 Warehousing and Storage qualification.
• Support learners to develop practical warehousing knowledge, workplace behaviors, and core employability skills for release.
• Maintain learner records, assessments, progress reviews, and end-of-course reports.
• Foster an inclusive, professional learning environment; monitor attendance and behavior; communicate with the Delivery Manager.
• Adhere to safeguarding, health & safety, awarding body standards, and prison security protocols.
