The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a dedicated Warehousing Tutor to join the Adult Skills provision team on-site at HMP Humber. In this rewarding role, you will deliver classroom-based training to help learners achieve their Level 2 Certificate in Warehousing and Storage. Benefiting from a great work-life balance with early Friday finishes (12:00 PM), you will empower learners to overcome barriers, build essential employability skills, and transform their lives through education.
What You Will Be Doing
Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging classroom-based training for the Level 2 Warehousing and Storage qualification, tailoring materials to meet diverse learner needs.
Employability & Skill Building: Support learners to develop practical warehousing knowledge, workplace behaviors, and core employability skills to prepare them for jobs upon release.
Progress Tracking & Reporting: Maintain accurate learner records, individual notes, assessments, and progress reviews. Produce detailed end-of-course reports highlighting cohort successes and outcomes.
Positive Environment & Management: Foster an inclusive, professional learning environment; monitor attendance, participation, and behavior; and communicate proactively with the Delivery Manager.
Compliance & Security: Adhere strictly to safeguarding, health & safety, awarding body quality standards, and prison-specific security protocols at all times.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications: Level 3 Teaching Qualification and a recognized Assessing Qualification. Level 3 (or above) sector-specific warehousing/logistics qualifications.
Occupational Experience: Substantial hands-on occupational experience within the warehousing, logistics, or supply chain sector.
Core Competencies: Strong group facilitation, administrative capability, and the ability to adapt to prison timetabling limitations and routines.
Desirable Criteria: Prior experience delivering education within a prison or secure adult environment.
