Inspired Recruitment Ltd is seeking on-site Test Technicians for a Dorset-based nuclear and defence project. You will test electronic and electro-mechanical equipment against defined procedures, identify faults to sub-assembly level, and ensure precise documentation across ERP systems.

The role emphasises adherence to 6S/lean principles, strong documentation skills, and ability to work with standard test equipment in a structured manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with production testing using CIS/ bespoke analogue equipment.
• Able to interpret drawings, BOMs and testing specs.
• Proficient with standard test gear including multimeters, scopes and generators.
• Capable of fault finding to sub-assembly level and reading circuit diagrams.
• Proficient with Word and Excel for documentation.
• Good time management and task prioritisation skills.
• Familiar with ESD controls and IPC-A-610/620.

Responsabilités

• Test electronic or electro-mechanical equipment to specifications.
• Identify faults at sub-assembly level and initiate corrective action.
• Record fault data and ensure traceability in paperwork and ERP.
• Maintain housekeeping and comply with safety regulations.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices.
