Job summary
Intelligent Energy is seeking a hands-on Test Capability Engineer to maintain test rigs and ensure laboratory safety and reliability at our Loughborough facility. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, respond to equipment issues, and support the build and modification of test rigs with a multi-disciplinary team.
The role involves regular calibration and preventative maintenance, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Qualifications
- Maintenance of equipment in a test or production environment, including electro‑mechanical assemblies or test rig systems.
- Reading and referencing mechanical and electrical system drawings, schematics and layouts.
- National Instruments control systems.
- Working with liquid or gas fuel systems.
Responsibilities
- Be the initial point of response for test rig and laboratory process issues.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and escalate more complex problems.
- Support the build of new test rigs and modifications to existing equipment.
- Carry out regular equipment checks, calibration and audits.
- Perform preventative maintenance on test rigs and supporting equipment.
