Job summary

QinetiQ in the Portsmouth area is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead Estates projects within the MSCA framework at Haslar/PTP sites. You will balance cost, schedule, quality and risk while engaging with internal and external stakeholders to deliver complex facilities and infrastructure on time.

Working in PDLS IDT, you’ll manage multi-customer projects, ensure safety, compliance and successful delivery, and travel to nearby sites as needed. A strong PM qualification is required.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering projects to multiple customers within a complex stakeholder environment.
• Delivery of construction or refurbishment projects following RIBA stages.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations, JSP standards, environmental legislation; familiarity with NEC, JCT & RIBA.
• CDM Regulations experience; acted as client or similar role on construction projects.
• Broad knowledge of civil engineering, infrastructure and building works methods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-value (\£5m+ per annum) or complex estates projects and maintain client and supplier engagement.
• Maintain delivery forecasts aligned with updated work expectations.
• Define budgets, deliver within budget, and report progress against cost plans.
• Manage project documentation including bids, proposals and third-party docs.
• Apply risk management strategies to ensure safe and secure delivery.
