Job summary

Linear Recruitment is partnering with a well-established social housing contractor to appoint an experienced Project Manager for a North East construction project. You will lead day-to-day site operations, coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers, and ensure the work is delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong planning, and excellent use of digital tools, including Microsoft Project and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Proven PM experience in construction, social housing preferred.
• Strong organisation and planning skills.
• Hands-on site leadership capability.
• Proficient in MS Office and project planning tools.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for day-to-day management and delivery of the social housing project.
• Act as first point of command on site, providing leadership to site teams and subcontractors.
• Plan activities in advance, coordinating labour, materials, plant and subcontractors to maintain programme.
• Develop, monitor and update project programmes, identifying delays and implementing solutions.
• Utilise technology and digital systems to manage information, track progress and produce reports.
• Coordinate site meetings and communicate updates to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure all works comply with health and safety legislation and quality standards.
• Monitor subcontractor performance to meet timescales and budgets.
• Maintain project documentation including programmes, risk assessments and method statements.
