Job summary

Quanex is seeking a hands-on manufacturing operator to join our Henlow site. The role operates on a two-shift pattern (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm) with overtime and requires safe handling of materials and waste.

You will prioritise work, drive a forklift, and support packaging and stock control in a fast-paced production environment. We offer a competitive salary package including pension matching, life assurance, and enhanced parental leave options, plus an Employee Assistance Programme.

Qualifications

• Must be computer literate with basic systems knowledge.
• Experience with SAP is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise daily workload according to manufacturing schedule.
• Operate forklift to move materials as required.
• Book out raw materials to production and processes.
• Operate cardboard/plastic waste compactor and handle material bookings.
• Assist with mould changes and stock control.
• Maintain FIFO stock system and ensure material supply.
