Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Procurement and Materials Coordinator in Bristol on site to support the material control function for complex systems built in a low-volume manufacturing environment. You will generate RFQs, raise POs from BOMs and requisitions, process vendor quotes and select suppliers based on cost, delivery, and quality.

You will expedite materials, manage order changes, support goods-in and quality control, and maintain records in the MRP system.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in purchasing, planning or materials within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on ERP/MRP systems experience.
• Able to read engineering drawings and understand manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Strong communication and supplier relationship skills.
• Willing to take on a variety of tasks according to business needs.

Responsibilities

• Generate POs and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Support goods-in, stock control and kitting; monitor inventory and maintain accurate system transactions.
• Ensure batch and serial traceability across purchasing, receiving, and inventory transactions.
• Report delays or deviations in a timely manner to the procurement and engineering teams.
• Support other business functions according to business needs.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities.
