Job summary

The Lubrizol Corporation is seeking a PT Engineer to provide process expertise and real-time troubleshooting to our Barnsley production facilities. You will drive safe, efficient manufacturing and support the introduction of new products and technologies.

You will collaborate with Production, Quality, Technical, Planning, Engineering, and HSE teams to optimize processes, scale up products, and lead improvement initiatives while maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related science or engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical process support and real-time troubleshooting for manufacturing operations to maintain safe, efficient, and reliable production.
• Monitor plant performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve safety, product quality, process efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
• Lead and support continuous improvement projects focused on process optimization, productivity, energy reduction, and operational excellence.
• Coordinate the successful scale-up and introduction of new products, working collaboratively with Technical, Production, Quality, and Planning teams.
• Conduct raw material evaluations, laboratory trials, process assessments, and analytical investigations to support product and process improvements.
• Participate in hazard studies, management of change (MOC) activities, root cause investigations, and site safety initiatives.
• Manage and maintain production batch documentation, process specifications, and SAP transactions to support manufacturing and quality requirements.
• Support the development and improvement of analytical methods used to monitor and control manufacturing processes.
• Champion Lubrizol's commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships to ensure seamless communication and execution of projects and operational priorities.
