Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an on-site Permitting Co-ordinator to manage all permit processes for on-site and subcontracted works. You will ensure Health & Safety and CDM compliance, monitor activities, and sign off maintenance records.Working Tuesday to Friday, 07:30–16:30, you will oversee contractor diaries, liaise with M&E teams, support incident reporting and toolbox talks, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining site logs.

Qualifications

• Experience managing subcontractors and permit processes.
• Understanding of Health & Safety Regulations and CDM requirements.
• M&E bias qualification or extensive relevant experience preferred.
• SMSTS or similar certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and control all on-site permitting for self-delivered and subcontracted works.
• Ensure Health & Safety and CDM compliance across activities.
• Monitor permitted activities and ensure compliance with specifications and site rules.
• Maintain maintenance records and sign-off on completion in the operating system.
• Manage contractor diary and ensure timely communication with stakeholders.
• Support on-site safety training, toolbox talks, and incident reporting.
• Assist in assessments of contractors and participate in client meetings as needed.
• Collaborate with M&E supervisor and lead engineers to coordinate safe works on site.
