Job summary

OH Medical is recruiting an experienced Occupational Health Adviser for a permanent, full-time, site-based role in Swindon. You will support a safety-critical workforce through face-to-face clinical assessments, health surveillance and case management, collaborating with HR and managers to maintain service quality.

The role requires an NMC-registered nurse with an OH qualification, strong communication and report-writing skills, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Recognised Occupational Health qualification (diploma/degree/MSc).
• Strong experience in health surveillance and OH case management.
• Excellent communication, clinical assessment and report-writing skills.
• Organised approach and ability to work independently.
• Good IT skills and understanding of confidentiality and GDPR.

Responsibilities

• Deliver health surveillance, management referrals and fitness-for-work assessments.
• Manage sickness absence cases and recommend appropriate workplace adjustments.
• Provide advice to support employees in remaining at work or returning safely.
• Produce clear, evidence-based Occupational Health reports.
• Support and supervise Occupational Health Technicians.
• Maintain accurate, confidential employee health records.
• Collaborate with HR, line managers and clinical colleagues to maintain service quality.
