Job summary

Pioneer Selection in Shropshire is seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Fitter / Maintenance Engineer to join a market-leading manufacturing operation.

You will maintain a fleet of forklift trucks on site, perform welding and fabrication, and carry out routine and reactive maintenance with a strong focus on mechanical reliability. Shift pattern: 4 on, 4 off (days and nights).

The role offers a competitive salary of £44,950 plus benefits, and opportunities for training and career development.

Qualifications

• Experienced engineer with mobile plant repairs, welding and fabrication.
• Mechanically biased engineer.
• Maintenance, repair and breakdown of forklift trucks or any other plant equipment.
• Excellent mechanical skills involving belts, bearings and chains.
• High attention to detail.
• Understanding of safe systems of work.
• Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
• Desirable: Knowledge of CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs and maintenance for a fleet of forklift trucks on site.
• Perform welding and fabrication duties as part of general maintenance on machinery.
• Ensure reliable operation through regular inspection and proactive servicing.
