Job summary
Direct Recruitment (Midlands) Ltd seeks an experienced MIG Site Welder to join a busy on-site fabrication team. You will read engineering drawings and produce high-quality welds to required standards.
The role includes on-site MIG welding, fabrication and installation of structural steel, reading drawings, measuring and preparing materials, and collaborating with site supervisors. Immediate start with regular hours and overtime opportunities.
Qualifications
- MIG welding experience essential.
- Site welding experience preferred.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Fabrication and measuring skills.
- Competent with hand and power tools.
- Relevant welding qualifications advantageous.
- Reliable, punctual and a team player.
- Full UK driving licence desirable.
Responsibilities
- Weld on site using MIG processes.
- Fabricate and install structural and general steelwork.
- Weld mild steel to specification.
- Read and work from engineering drawings.
- Measure, cut and prepare materials.
- Use grinders and related fabrication tools.
- Carry out repairs and modifications as required.
- Follow site health and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades.
- Ensure work is accurate and high quality.
