Job summary

Morgan McKinley (South West) is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer for on-site work in Surrey. The role involves delivering complete design packages for bespoke process plant machinery and modular systems across international projects.

Responsibilities include creating GA and detailed drawings, designing components, and supporting commissioning. The candidate should have 5+ years of relevant experience and be eligible for UK SC clearance, with strong teamwork and mentoring abilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in mechanical design.
• Proficient with CAD; Autodesk Inventor preferred.
• Experience with process systems, skid-mounted modular plant or machinery design.

Responsibilities

• Create conceptual models, GAs and detailed manufacturing drawings (GD&T).
• Design machined parts, frames, pipework and P&IDs for process systems.
• Support hands-on workshop assembly, commissioning and site surveys.
• Take ownership of sole design packages and mentor junior staff.
