Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficient with CAD; Autodesk Inventor preferred.
• Experience with process systems, skid-mounted modular plant or machinery design.

About the Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of an established, engineering provider specialising in bespoke process plant machinery, modular test facilities, and complex electro-mechanical systems.

Due to major international project wins (including modular systems across Europe and Asia), they are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Creating conceptual models, General Assemblies (GAs), and detailed manufacturing drawings (GD&T).
• Designing machined parts, structural frames, pipework, and P&IDs for process systems (water, fuel, cooling).
• Supporting hands-on workshop assembly, commissioning phases, and site surveys.
• (Contractors) Taking ownership of sole design packages and mentoring junior staff.

Key Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years
• CAD Skills: Autodesk Inventor preferred (training provided for candidates skilled on other CAD platforms).
• Background: Process engineering, skid-mounted systems, modular plant, or machinery design.
• Working Pattern: 100% on-site (5 days/week).
• Security Clearance: Must hold or be eligible for UK SC Clearance (British or NATO dual nationality required).
