Job summary

Morson Group is seeking a motivated Logistics Professional to support operations in Barrow in Furness within a fast-paced, highly regulated engineering and manufacturing environment.

The role requires hands-on work: safely receiving, storing, and dispatching goods, maintaining stock, and using SAP for stock control. Forklift operation and strong HSE practices are essential. This is a full-time, on-site position with PAYE rate of £22.39 and a 37-hour week.

Qualifications

• Experience in receiving, storing and dispatching goods.
• Ability to operate forklift equipment.
• Knowledge of SAP or similar warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

• Safely receive, unload and inspect incoming goods, checking documentation and packaging.
• Store and organise stock accurately, ensuring full traceability and easy identification.
• Pick, kit, pack and dispatch materials in line with production and project requirements.
• Maintain accurate stock records and update SAP and other warehouse management systems.
• Carry out stock checks and cycle counts, investigating and reporting discrepancies.
• Ensure materials and equipment are packaged, handled and protected appropriately.
• Operate forklift trucks and warehouse equipment safely and responsibly.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, housekeeping and compliance.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams, suppliers and third-party logistics providers.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support efficient working practices.
