Job summary

Sygnature Discovery in Glasgow is seeking a Facilities Support Assistant to join our site operations. The role is on-site five days a week, supporting laboratories by maintaining stock levels, handling deliveries, and ensuring Health and Safety standards across the site.

You will assist in equipment maintenance, waste streams, temperature monitoring, and PAT records, with full training provided. A welcoming background in lab/warehouse environments is valued, along with a proactive,

Qualifications

• Five National 5 qualifications (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
• Experience in a laboratory, warehouse, facilities or operational support environment welcomed.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a problem-solving mindset.
• Can-do, enthusiastic work attitude.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate high Health & Safety awareness and ensure compliance with policies and legislation.
• Manage deliveries across the site with care and efficiency.
• Manage site waste streams including solvent and clinical waste and recycling.
• Maintain emergency and safety equipment (eyewash, safety showers, spill kits, fire equipment, Legionella records).
• Replace and restock gas cylinders following safety procedures.
• Monitor refrigerator/freezer temperatures and maintain records.
• Ensure PAT records are up to date and support power failure response.
