A new opportunity has arisen for a Facilities Support Assistant to join our team in Glasgow. This role is based on-site, and the post holder will be expected to be in the office five days per week.
Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, the Facilities Support Assistant will play a pivotal role, working closely with the wider facilities team and scientists to ensure that our laboratories are in excellent working order, enabling our scientists to carry out their important work. They will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of stock levels, including that of chemicals, solvents, consumables, and department-specific supplies, ensuring inventory is up to date. This will include tracking and ordering goods, using relevant systems to manage tasks and monitoring shipments.
The Facilities Support Assistant will also be responsible for the maintenance, cleaning, and basic repair of various pieces of scientific equipment ensuring Health and Safety standards are always followed. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Facilities Support Assistant looking to work in a niche sector, or for a high school graduate with a scientific background looking to step into a CRO environment.
