Job summary

DXC Technology in Luton is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to help keep critical enterprise infrastructure reliable and secure. You'll balance BAU support with project work across a broad range of technologies, including Windows Server, virtualization, and backup solutions, in a highly secure environment.

You will contribute to upgrades, patching, lifecycle management, and incident resolution while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Strong experience supporting enterprise Windows Server infrastructure.
Experience administering Citrix and VMware environments.
Familiarity with patching, upgrades and platform maintenance.
Experience with backup technologies such as Veritas NetBackup and Cohesity.
Familiar with server patching tools such as Shavlik.
Experience supporting licensing and printing platforms.
Basic network switch configuration experience.
Good understanding of ITIL change management and controlled change processes.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritise work across operations and projects.

Responsibilities

Support, maintain and continually improve a secure enterprise infrastructure.
BAU support and project delivery across multiple platforms.
Participate in infrastructure projects from planning to implementation.
Investigate incidents, identify root causes and drive permanent improvements.
Work within change management processes to ensure safe, controlled delivery.
Collaborate with teams across infrastructure, project and service to deliver the best outcomes.
