On-Site HSEQ Manager – Contract, Infrastructure Project

Job summary

Focus is recruiting an experienced Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) Manager for a major infrastructure project in London. The role provides on-site HSE management and subject matter expertise, reporting to the Project Director and working with Site Managers and the wider HSEQ team.

This temporary assignment runs to year-end with potential extension; 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Thu 8:30–17:00, Fri 8:30–16:00). Lead HSE processes, audits, training, and site safety delivery.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH or equivalent qualification at minimum Level 3.
• Experience with general HSEQ management systems.
• Experience of ISO 45001 audits and compliance.
• Experience with risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Ability to lead training for managers and operatives.
• Strong IT skills with Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a daily on-site HSE presence during high-risk activities.
• Lead HSE processes across site activities and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide technical HSE expertise including RAMS/SWMS reviews.
• Manage audits, inspections, monthly reporting and corrective actions.
• Lead HSE training and competency development for installation teams.
• Represent the business in meetings, site tours and investigations.
• Ensure HSE policies are integrated into project delivery.
