Job summary

Network Plus is seeking an HSEQ Advisor to support regional operations, acting as a visible health, safety, environmental and quality resource on site and in the office. You will promote compliance, conduct inspections, investigate incidents and drive corrective actions alongside operational teams.

You will hold a recognised NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) and IOSH membership, with UK driving licence. Utilities-sector experience and CDM knowledge are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised health and safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Certificate or NEBOSH Construction).
• Hold, or be working towards, IOSH membership.
• Experience in utilities sector or electrical cabling/LV jointing advantageous.
• Experience in Distribution Network Operator environments beneficial.
• Capable of audits, inspections and assurance checks independently or with colleagues.
• Capable of leading incident investigations and delivering meaningful corrective actions.
• Hands-on, site-facing role with regular engagement with operation teams.
• Strong communication and relationship-building to influence site teams, contractors and clients.
• Understand CDM and experience in utility/construction/power infra.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Work with operational teams, contract leadership and clients to support safe, compliant delivery.
• Promote high standards of HSEQ compliance across activities.
• Carry out site inspections, assurance visits and verification checks with effective closure of findings.
• Support accident, incident and near-miss investigations and identify root causes.
• Encourage proactive reporting and continuous improvement.
• Produce updates highlighting achievements, trends, risks and improvements.
• Drive timely close-out of corrective actions from reviews and audits.
• Compile accident and incident statistics for contracts and participate in client meetings.
• Build relationships with supervisors, operatives, contractors, clients and support functions.
