Job summary

Clancy is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support the Scottish Water contract. The role is hands-on, partnering with operations to promote safe working practices and wellbeing while driving continuous improvement on a major water sector site.

This is not desk-based; you will be on site across Scotland with occasional UK travel and flexible hours to support operations. NEBOSH certification and IOSH membership are essential.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a Health & Safety advisory role.
• Sound working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation in construction/utilities/water or civil engineering.
• Willingness to travel across Scotland and occasional UK travel; flexible working hours.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site inspections, audits and safety observations.
• Provide professional H&S and Wellbeing advice to colleagues at all levels.
• Advise operational teams to meet safety objectives and promote best practice.
• Support investigations, identify root causes and recommend improvements.
• Contribute H&S input into tenders, bids and operational planning.
• Identify opportunities to improve H&S and wellbeing systems and processes.
• Promote proactive hazard reporting and positive safety behaviours.
• Support compliance with HSE legislation and company procedures.
