Job summary

Sodexo Group is seeking a Maintenance Operative (Semi Skilled) to join our team at HMP Addiewell. You will deliver a reliable, high-quality maintenance service across the site, ensuring work complies with safety standards and KPI expectations.

The role requires adherence to health and safety, COSHH regulations, and strong teamwork to support client relationships and uphold security and operational standards within a high‑security environment.

Qualifications

• Experience using power tools and hand tools.
• Driving licence required.
• Able to pass enhanced disclosure.

Responsibilities

• Complete general maintenance and repairs to ensure safe operation of the establishment
• Carry out work in line with health and safety regulations and industry best practice
• Adhere to tool control and security procedures at all times
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and effective manner
• Support project work as directed by the Facilities Management team
• Participate in a call-out rota where required
• Supervise prisoner working parties where applicable
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe, compliant environment
