Construction & Civils Solutions Limited is recruiting an Environmental Advisor for a major roads project in Pitlochry, Perthshire. The role is site-based, full-time and permanent, offering £40,000–£50,000 depending on experience.

You will work closely with the construction team to deliver environmental commitments on site. You will review and implement environmental controls, conduct inspections, and liaise with regulators such as SEPA and NatureScot to ensure compliance and practical outcomes

Qualifications

• Experience as Environmental Advisor or similar in civil engineering, highways, construction or infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of Scottish environmental legislation and construction environmental controls.
• Experience carrying out inspections, monitoring and environmental reporting.
• Ability to engage with site teams and challenge poor practice.

Responsabilités

• Carrying out site inspections, audits and environmental monitoring, ensuring actions are followed through.
• Supporting the implementation and review of environmental management plans and procedures.
• Advising on pollution prevention, water management, waste, ecology, noise, dust and vibration.
• Reviewing construction methods and risk assessments to ensure environmental controls are practical and effective.
• Monitoring compliance with permits, licences and consents.
• Investigating environmental incidents and supporting corrective actions.
• Delivering toolbox talks and environmental briefings to site teams.
• Maintaining environmental records, monitoring data and reports.
• Liaising with client, environmental specialists and regulators as required.
