Job summary

American Society of Civil Engineers in Scotland is seeking an Environmental Advisor for a contractor delivering a long-term infrastructure framework across Scotland. You’ll support live civils and utilities projects, from mains replacement and network upgrades to capital projects, with a hybrid on-site/office pattern and scope to work directly with project teams on practical environmental decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering environmental advice on construction or infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with environmental legislation and risk assessment.
• Experience coordinating with site teams and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Visit projects to identify environmental risks and advise site teams.
• Carry out inspections, audits, support ISO 14001 compliance, and guide waste management.
• Investigate incidents, deliver environmental briefings and liaise with client, regulators and partners.
