Job summary

The Clancy Group is seeking a hands-on, field-based Environmental Advisor to deliver environmental excellence across civil engineering projects. This role is not desk-based; you’ll be visible on site, guiding design, construction and reinstatement to stay compliant and minimize impact.

You will work with operational teams, perform environmental assessments, audits and reporting, and drive practical improvements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an environmental role within civil engineering, construction or utilities sectors.
• Good understanding of environmental legislation and how it applies to operational projects.
• Ability to manage environmental risks, prepare environmental plans and reports, and use data to identify practical improvements.

Responsibilities

• Out on site, undertake environmental assessments and produce environmental management plans.
• Work with operational teams to ensure works meet legal and regulatory requirements.
• Carry out inspections and audits in line with ISO 14001, permits and environmental legislation; identify issues and drive corrective action.
• Support incident management and ensure lessons are learned and embedded.
