Job summary

Otis London is seeking an experienced Lift Installation Engineer to deliver lift installation projects across the London Underground network and similar environments. You will install, assemble, test, and commission passenger and goods lifts, ensuring work meets safety and industry standards.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Lift Installation and proven experience, with the ability to read technical drawings and work in safety-critical settings.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Lift Installation or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience as a Lift Installation Engineer.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements in construction and infrastructure environments.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install lift equipment according to manufacturers' specifications and project requirements.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical installation of lift systems.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and installation documentation.
• Work safely within London Underground, rail, and infrastructure environments.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks throughout the installation process.
• Support testing, commissioning and handover activities.
• Identify and report installation issues, defects or project risks.
• Maintain accurate records of work and materials used.
• Liaise with supervisors, project managers, clients and other trade contractors.
