Job summary

Amey is recruiting an Electrician for HMP Hindley to perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance on a secure site, ensuring safety and reliability of critical systems.

The role requires knowledge of BS7671, working at height, and the ability to work independently. 18th Edition preferred (17th accepted with training); on-site gym, parking and restaurant are available as benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical maintenance on large facilities.
• Fault finding and repair skills across electrical systems.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety practices and RAMS.
• Knowledge of Electrical at Work Regulations.
• Able to work independently and at height.

Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive electrical maintenance across site.
• Fault finding and repairs on electrical systems.
• Electrical testing and inspections (BS7671).
• Minor works and replacements as required.
• Ensure systems are safe, compliant and operational.
• Follow H&S procedures, RAMS and safe systems of work.
• Support wider team and escort duties when required.
